December 03, 2012
NetCracker Technology upgraded its telecom operations and management solutions (TOMS) portfolio. The company also announced new contracts with converged service providers and mobile and satellite operators (MSOs).
As a provider of end-to-end BSS/OSS solutions and professional services, NetCracker has invested in several research and development programs. It has also acquired strategic assets to further augment its TOMS portfolio, said officials.
NetCracker’s BSS/OSS solutions and services have been upgraded to include an expanded TOMS solution suite, BSS capabilities, cross-industry solutions and managed services.
Service fulfillment and assurance is delivered as a part of the NetCracker TOMS Suite. It optimizes implementation time and costs through pre-integration with other elements of the TOMS Suite. These include configuration management, customer management, resource management, workforce management and service platforms such as SDP and XaaS.
The company also announced at Management World Americas 2012 new contracts with many service providers to cater to the needs of end-to-end BSS/OSS solutions, managed services, data center management and cloud services.
NetCracker’s end-to-end BSS/OSS solutions include billing, customer care, online rating and charging, resource and network management, IT platforms and service fulfillment and assurance.
Besides professional services, managed services and end-to-end outsourcing solutions are also provided. Using these solutions, service providers can operationalize optimum connectivity, maximize the convergence of network IT and enhance the customer experience, said officials.
NetCracker also announced that Videotron, a Canadian telecommunications provider, has chosen to upgrade its current TOMS software to the latest NetCracker release. NetCracker’s professional services team will deliver the upgrade and provide Videotron with new and improved capabilities to more efficiently manage its network infrastructure.
The upgrade will enable Videotron to improve its network mapping and maximize its capacity utilization of network resources, including both physical assets and logical connections. This enhanced functionality will drive operational efficiency, reduce the overall cost of operating and maintaining Videotron’s network.
