TMCnet Network Packet Broker Week in Review

Now while I know it’s extremely hard to decide if you are more excited for the newly embarked upon weekend or for this week’s network packet broker wrap-up, here is a look back and the latest and greatest in terms of news for this period beginning January 21st.
Making headlines recently, we saw that Net Optics Inc., a company touted as delivering a robust suite of network visibility solutions, will soon be unveiling a new high-density Flex Tap MTP. With the goal of enabling companies to implement this offering in order to enhance control over every action taking place within a corporate infrastructure, the highly flexible solution will offer an unparalleled level of both reliability and convenience.
The Tap can work successfully in conjunction with 1G, 10G, 40G and 100G capacities simultaneously as well as fit up to 48 10G taps within a single rack.
"We're excited to make available this high-performance productivity solution that delivers comprehensive Tapping capabilities within a very cost-effective parameter. It adds up to an overall superior investment value for our customers," said Daniel Aharon, senior director of Product Management at Net Optics, in a statement.
In other news, National Instruments has just revealed that its PXIe-5632 VNA PXI vector network analyzer can be leveraged to overcome various obstacles that tend to arise during RF testing. The PXIe-5632 VNA PXI vector network analyzer boasts the ability to power RF testing with a dramatically reduced price tag.
Engineers and scientists alike can see many advantages from this product due to the fact that it encompasses frequency ranges of 300 kHz to 8.5GHz in addition to two-port, three-slot PXI Express VNA, which offers frequency coverage of 300 kHz to 8.5GHz.
Closing out the week, ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd., a provider of Internet content and application delivery services, revealed that its services will now be utilized by China Eastern Airlines. The company’s robust suite was selected by the airline as a way to drive speed and improve security within all of its online services.
"It is important for China Eastern Airlines, being China's second largest airline in terms of number of passengers carried, with a significant online presence and the planned addition of mobile apps, to enhance its online capabilities to better address changing consumer needs. We believe that CDN solutions such as ours can significantly improve the capabilities and functionality of their website and other tools, and we are honored by our selection as China Eastern Airlines' first CDN partner," commented Song Wang, founder, chairman and CEO of ChinaCache.
He added, "We have a number of prominent customers in the travel and aviation industries, and are expanding our presence in this market while targeting enterprise customers in other verticals.”
