TELES Signs Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro
August 28, 2013
TELES Communications Corp. (TCC), a U.S. subsidiary of Berlin-based TELES and a provider of communications solutions for carriers and business customers, recently announced that Ingram Micro Inc (IM), a technology distributor and company engaged in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, will distribute the company’s CellX line of Cellular Gateways. The officials from TELES said that the distribution agreement will expand the reach of its product line to more than 30,0000 resellers nationwide.
The CellX line of fixed-cellular gateways provides a connection from client’s office telephone systems directly to his preferred cellular carrier, allowing him to migrate specific types of calls, or all voice traffic, to the mobile network. The solutions provide the benefits of disaster recovery, cost reduction, and even faster delivery of telephone services to temporary locations and new construction sites. CELLX4 cellular gateway devices work with all types of phone equipment to convert calls from fixed networks into mobile-to-mobile calls, providing temporary voice service where no landline exists yet, such as construction sites, and reducing costs for wireless minutes.
"Beyond significantly reducing telecom costs by routing communications on the least expensive route, our Cellular Gateway helps ensure business and communications continuity, especially for small to medium sized businesses," said Oliver Olbrich, president of TELES Communications Corp. "For example, in the case of new site locations, CellXhelps businesses get up and running right away. The product also works with on-premise and hosted PBX solutions. We are excited to foster our US business and offer our CellXsolution through Ingram Micro, the largest provider of IT and communication solutions to the SMB market."
In related news, TELES Communications recently established a strategic distribution agreement with PCD and Sprint. CELLX4 is certified for use on the Sprint Network, and Personal Communications Devices (PCD) is the official distributor of CELLX4 for Sprint and its Vision Network customers on the Migration portal. In addition to distribution services, PCD provides marketing and sales support, including an informational video planned for its portal website.
